Nestled in the beautiful Galloway hills, Mossdale Village Hall is at the heart of our small, close-knit community in South West Scotland. The Hall is a place where we meet to plan and plot our way forward.
About us
Entirely community-run and maintained, the Hall dates back to 1947 when it opened as a local resource and it has continued to provide a gathering space for over 75 years. Whether it’s hosting local groups, supporting artists and makers, or serving as a venue for meetings and celebrations, Mossdale Village Hall is here to nurture the social and cultural life of our village.

A careful driver managed to hit the Welcome sign!
Mossdale Village Hall operates as a volunteer-run space for Mossdale, Hensol, Slogarie and neighbouring communities.
We host a range of activities and events, from craft fairs and yoga classes to community cafe and art clubs, Mossdale Village Hall is where we gather to share, celebrate, and support one another. It’s a space shaped by the people who use it — a welcoming hub for locals and visitors alike, offering a warm and inclusive atmosphere for events, learning, and connection.
Our little hall embodies our creative and innovative spirit, and provides a welcome for anyone who shares our love for this beautiful land, love for each other and the joy that comes in doing things together.
